Job Description:
We are looking for a professional and personable Medical Receptionist to join our new clinic team. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring smooth and efficient front desk operations. Familiarity with the Universal EMR system is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Verify patient identification, insurance coverage, and personal information
• Answer, screen, and redirect phone calls; manage voicemails and respond to emails
• Maintain an accurate and organized appointment schedule using the EMR system
• Assist patients with intake procedures and address inquiries professionally
• Collect, process, and securely maintain confidential patient information
• Perform general administrative duties such as copying, faxing, and filing
Job Requirements:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent phone etiquette and ability to manage multiple calls
• Experience with the Universal EMR system is an asset, but not required
• Ability to sit, stand, and perform clerical tasks for extended periods
