1997 was a game changing year for soca. The new generation stepped forward & took the reins to push the music forward. The eventual king of soca had his breakthrough, and we were introduced to the eventual queen of soca.

These 2 mixes are the biggest hits from Trinidad Carnival 1997 (with some 1996 Barbados Crop Over hits that crossed over).
