π New Express Entry PNP Draw: What a 708 CRS Cut-Off Really Means
IRCC has just completed Express Entry Draw #423 with a high CRS cut-off of 708 β but that number can be less intimidating than it looks if you understand how PNP works.
On July 6, 2026, IRCC held an Express Entry draw specifically for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. The round issued 534 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a CRS cut-off score of 708. This high cut-off reflects the fact that a provincial nomination adds 600 points to a candidateβs base CRS score, making nominated candidates very competitive when IRCC runs PNP-focused rounds.
For candidates sitting in the Express Entry pool with moderate CRS scores, a provincial nomination can be one of the most powerful ways to improve your ranking. However, PNPs are not automatic: each province or territory has its own streams, criteria, and intake processes, and many require an active Express Entry profile for aligned streams. It is also essential to rely on official data from canada.ca and provincial websites, as draw patterns and program rules can change without notice.
If you are exploring whether a PNP pathway could work for you, ATA Immigration can help you understand where your profile may fit, how Express Entry and PNPs interact, and what steps you may reasonably consider next based on current rules. We focus on clear, realistic guidance so you can plan your immigration strategy with better information, not guesswork.

π CRS cut-off: 708
βοΈ ITAs issued: 534
Another PNP-specific round from IRCC β a great reminder that a provincial nomination (worth 600 CRS points) remains one of the fastest ways to boost your ranking and land an invitation, even if your base CRS score is well below the general cut-offs. πͺ
If you're in the Express Entry pool, keep your profile updated and stay ready β draws can happen without notice!

π¨ Express Entry Update: Physicians with Canadian Work Experience
IRCC held a new Express Entry draw on June 24, 2026 at 14:00:30 UTC.
Category: Physicians with Canadian Work Experience, 2026-Version 1
Key numbers:
β’ Invitations issued: 271
β’ CRS cut-off score: 223
β’ Rank needed: 271 or above
β’ Tie-breaking rule: May 31, 2026 at 18:13:49 UTC
This is a very specific category-based draw. A low CRS score does not mean everyone with medical experience qualifies.
To be considered, candidates must still meet Express Entry requirements and fit the category criteria, including Canadian work experience as a physician.
If you received an ITA, review your documents carefully before submitting:
β’ work history
β’ NOC/TEER code
β’ duties in reference letters
β’ dates of employment
β’ proof of Canadian work experience
β’ language results
β’ education documents
β’ personal and travel history
An ITA is not PR approval. It is an invitation to submit a complete and accurate permanent residence application.
If your CRS is close, or if you are a physician in Canada and not sure whether your profile is properly set up, now is the time to review your strategy.
