St. Barnabas on the Danforth has been a long‑standing and deeply caring partner of Kennedy House. Not only do they host our Fundraiser each year, but their support continues well beyond a single event.

Throughout the year, St. Barnabas (https://www.facebook.com/St-Barnabas-on-the-Danforth-106155235493402/ ) marks special moments for youth at the shelter through thoughtful gestures such as cards and chocolate at Easter and Valentine’s Day, and gift cards during the holiday season. We’re grateful for their ongoing compassion and commitment to .

Last month some of the youth in our care went on a field trip to a bowling alley!

This outing was especially meaningful as it was many of the youth’s first time bowling. It provided a great opportunity for them to step outside of the regular program space, connect with one another, and build stronger relationships in a fun & engaging environment.

Beyond meeting immediate needs like safety, meals, and clothing, we address the many factors that contribute to homelessness by meeting youth where they’re at and offering tailored supports.

We hope everybody had a great Easter weekend!

At Kennedy House, our youth took part in some art therapy and chats about the significance of Easter 🐣
