TO’s Lavender Town are a Canadian alternative jazz fusion band known for their live performances, often sharing the stage with fellow off-jazz artists such as Dolphin Hyperspace (LA), Karneef (Montreal), Diskarte (Toronto), and Mafuba (Montreal).

The group combines jazz musicianship and modern rock aesthetics with an emphasis on improvisation. Lavender Town is influenced by a wide array of sources, including KNOWER, indie-game dev/composer Toby Fox, BADBADNOTGOOD, John Coltrane, Casiopea, Hakushi Hasegawa, and Hiatus Kaiyote. Their sound was found as a result of performing frequently in Toronto’s live music scene while trying to play in a way that would interest both casual and adept jazz listeners. Their music contains elements of jazz fusion, modern jazz, video game music, and alternative rock.

Blunt Chunks is the solo project of Tkaronto-based, multi-disciplinary artist, Caitlin Woelfle-O’Brien. Born out of curiosity for exploring the endless world of sound and song, traversing a wide range of genres, her diaristic music combines pop sensibility, ambient tones and vocal layering. The result is music to keep close to your heart; honest, hypnotic and vulnerable. Blunt Chunks aims to tackle grief, heartbreak, loneliness and devotion in her songs, blending genres like dream-pop, folk, soul, indie and rock, to create something entirely unique. Following the release of her self-titled EP in 2022 via Telephone Explosion, Blunt Chunks’ first full-length album ‘The Butterfly Myth’ was released in April 2024. Paste Magazine named it “one of the best debut albums of 2024”.
