To our beloved 6IX Fam,

It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that we send you this message. This is a message we never imagined having to send, and one that we worked tirelessly to avoid. Effective immediately, 6IX Cycle and 6IX Flow will be permanently closing their studio doors.

As you all know, the last 2.5 years have been a long and hard road for the fitness industry, with nearly 18 months of mandated studio closures and capacity restrictions placed upon us. Despite our best efforts – and countless pivots – the burden of the pandemic and the post-pandemic landscape has proven to be one that is simply too large to overcome.

We can’t thank you enough for the love and support you’ve given us. We are so thankful for each and every one of you and the light you have brought into the studios and, in turn, into our lives. We came together in the dark room week after week to sweat, sing, laugh, cry and discover the best versions of ourselves. You inspired us every single day and helped us to see the light even when we were faced with the darkest of days. We are sorry that we can no longer do the same for you.

Our friends at Ride Cycle Club on Ossington have graciously offered to honour a portion of your existing spin classes (up to three credits) until the end of the year, to redeem please email [email protected].

We wish you all the best 6IX Fam – please keep creating magic, keep chasing your dreams, and keep showing up for each other.

Endless Love,

Julie & Sheldon Harrish (Studio Mom & Dad)

September 30 marks The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. We honour all those who were impacted by the residential school system, the children lost, the missing and murdered indigenous people, the families, the survivors and all of the indigenous communities across this country. Public recognition of the ongoing atrocities of the residential school system is a small step forward and only a single component of the process of reconciliation, the starting point for what needs to be done moving forward.

The first step towards reconciliation is education. We encourage you all to spend time today not only learning about the residential school system but learning the indigenous history of the land you occupy. We have provided a few calls to action and resources here on these slides and will share them in our bio.

At 6IX CYCLE we acknowledge the land we move, flow and teach on is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of The Credit, The Anishnabeg, The Chippewa, The Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples, now the home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis. We acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with The Mississaugas of the Credit.
