I’ve always been in love with EMECO’s navy chair. I wanted to see if I could capture that same form in Walnut for for my daughter Tess. Using steam bending the back radius is much stronger than it would’ve been if I used a solid piece of wood. The front legs are attached using a Maloof style joint. I hope she will cherish it long after she outgrows it. With all the new techniques and jigs I had to build to accomplish this chair her window for appreciating it will be short. Kids grow up too quickly. :) thank you for your amazing selection of hardwood for the tools for teaching me so much.
