Lost my voice again — which, if you know, is always the sign of an incredible show. 🙏

This weekend we celebrated 20 years of DESIFEST, and I’m still catching my breath. To everyone who has helped build this community, this culture, this movement — thank you. Our artists, our crew, our volunteers, our partners and sponsors, and most of all the family that fills the Square every single year: none of this exists without you.

Twenty years has taught me one thing — through love, empathy and unconditional support, together we can keep shining the brightest lights on our culture and on the artists who carry it through their music, their dance, their art.

From the bottom of my very tired, very full heart — thank you. Here’s to the next 20.

From bringing Shirsha to the stage and delivering an unforgettable performance to giving us one of the most spectacular sunsets of the weekend, this was pure Desifest magic. 🌅✨

The music was loud, the crowd was singing every word, and for a moment, Toronto felt like one giant celebration.
