After months of calling for faster, more predictable federal transit funding, CUTA is welcoming today’s announcement from Mark Carney and the federal government as a meaningful step forward.

Strong, stable transit funding is about more than buses and trains. It helps communities build housing, reduce congestion, support local economies, and connect people to jobs, school, health care and essential services.

We look forward to working with all levels of government to make sure this funding reaches communities quickly and helps build the transit systems Canadians need.

L’ACTU est à la recherche d’un(e) directeur(trice), Recherche et intelligence sectorielle pour contribuer à façonner l’avenir du transport collectif au Canada.

Basé à Toronto (mode hybride), ce poste de direction pilotera le programme de recherche de l’ACTU, l’intelligence sectorielle, les études techniques et les publications phares de l’association, tout en servant de source clé de données probantes et d’analyses pour le secteur du transport collectif.

La personne retenue travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les sociétés de transport et les experts de l’industrie partout au Canada, en dirigeant des comités techniques et en faisant progresser les connaissances dans des domaines prioritaires tels que les autobus à zéro émission, la planification, la sécurité, les politiques publiques et la fabrication d’autobus.

Based in Toronto (hybrid), this leadership role will drive CUTA’s research agenda, industry intelligence, technical studies, and flagship publications, while serving as a key source of evidence and insight for the transit sector.
