It’s a Jessie appreciation post.

It was Jessie Lee’s last week here at TZ. So please take a minute to say thanks in whatever way you can. 💝

Jessie has been the reason so many great TZ events, projects and programs exist. Her contributions are too many to list, but standouts include bringing the Asian Media Access event to life and being the co-leader of TZ Summer and co-host of Toronto Tomorrow. But her contributions and impact on a daily level are what mattered most, from a chat to a road map, Jessie has impacted so many projects, creatives and students. Ya’ll we wouldn’t even have a karaoke night, if it wasn’t for Jessie’s problem solves and Swiss Army knife skillsets.

We can’t wait for her next project and we are happy to say she is going to join the TZ and stay part of the community as a Creative in Residence in the fall. But for now she’s off to begin a new documentary project!

from founders to friendship, thank you for all your hours of dedication, care and passion for creating a better entertainment world and helping to craft a community that was safe, fun and free to experiment in!
