Our government is helping Canadians afford the things they need. Today, 12 million Canadians will receive a top-up payment through the new Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit.

This benefit replaces and enhances the GST credit, helping families cover the costs of everyday essentials like groceries, gas, and housing.
