Supporting chiropractors for a healthier Canada.

🇹🇩 We kicked off Hill Day with a strong start, beginning with a meet and greet with MP Maggie Chi, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health, followed by a press conference calling on the federal government to authorize chiropractors to certify Disability Tax Credit (DTC) applications - A practical change could make a meaningful difference for Canadians living with chronic pain, disability, and mobility challenges.

Following the press conference, CCA representatives met with MPs, Senators, and government officials to discuss key priorities for the profession, including improving access to evidence-based neuromusculoskeletal care, expanding the Student Loan Forgiveness Program, improving access to care for CAF members, and reinstating chiropractic services under the NIHB program.

We’re grateful for the many conversations taking place and for the opportunity to demonstrate the value chiropractors bring to communities across Canada.

We’re energized by the momentum from today’s discussions and look forward to a busy day of meetings tomorrow as we continue advocating for patients, the profession, and a stronger healthcare system for all Canadians.

June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, an opportunity to learn about the unique cultures, traditions and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis who have lived on this land since time immemorial and whose presence continues to shape Canada today. It is also a moment for reflection and to recognize the ongoing impacts of colonization and to reflect on how we can all contribute to reconciliation.
