It certainly does not feel like it with our current heat wave here in Ontario, but fall migration will start up in only 2 months!
At the end of August, we begin patrolling buildings looking for birds that have collided, and we need your help!
If you live or work near Mississauga or Markham and would like to make a difference for migratory birds this fall, consider becoming a bird rescue volunteer! These areas are particularly bad for collisions, and we would like to increase our coverage.
Can’t patrol these areas? Don’t worry! We have volunteer groups throughout Downtown Toronto, North York and throughout the GTA who can use help too.
