Are your wearables helping you… or holding you back?
In 2026, almost everyone is tracking sleep, HRV, recovery, calories, and readiness with a wearable. They can be incredibly useful—but they’re not perfect.
A client of mine recently bought a WHOOP. One morning it told him he had a poor recovery and should take it easy. Then the built-in AI told him to push harder. Later, when he questioned it, the AI actually contradicted itself.
Here’s the lesson:
Wearables are great for collecting trends, not making decisions for you.
Use the data as a guide, but don’t ignore your body’s feedback.
If you wake up feeling energized, move. If you feel run down, back off. Your body is still the best recovery tracker you have.
Technology should support your decisions—not replace them.
