Today was a moving day for Wanda's Creative Clay and me personally.
I've tried for 20 years to volunteer at SickKids Hospital in Toronto without any luck.
Let me back up a little....our beloved Eden Worth was my best friend, she was a 4 year old clay student when I first met her and I quickly fell in love with her sense of humor and so much more. She became ill with cancer soon after and unfortunately she passed away on this day in 2013.
When SickKids agreed, earlier this year, to allow me to volunteer at the Hospital, I asked them if we could do it today and if we could make an elephant (which is the animal we made when we broke the Guinness World Record in honor of Eden back in 2014.)
We donated all the supplies and time and we had an amazing turnout of 75 kids all over closed circuit Hospital TV.
The kids called in, sent their pictures of their elephants, their little voices full of hope.
I felt like Eden was with me.
We need to raise $50,000 for a plaque at SickKids with Eden's name on it. We have reached $27,499.00...we are more than 1/2 way there.
If you can donate, any amount means so much, it would mean the world to Eden's family and myself. 100% of all donations go directly to SickKids for Brain Tumour research.
