First recording post in a while! So pleased to have performed Strophe Rocket, by Martin Arnold, this past September in Calgary at New Works Calgary season launch!

This is an hour long piece for trumpet, violin, two melodicas, electronics, and gating. It's a gorgeous, poetic, and lyrical piece and we hope you enjoy it!

What a month for Freesound! We’re taking stock of the last month of activites, and planning ahead to our next few shows! What a way to kick off the first part of our season!

Photos 1-2 - On September 14, we welcomed Transsonic (Violin Yip & Nicola Hein) to Arrraymusic from Germany. Opening for them was our friend Jason Doell with a collection of pieces for diatonic music boxes.

Photos 3-5 (photos by Mike Tan) - On September 19, our members, Aysel Taghi-Zada, Émilie Fortin, and Wesley Shen went to Calgary to open the season for New Works Calgary with ‘Strophe Rocket’ - a commission from Canadian composer Martin Arnold

Photos 6-7 - Finally, on October 5, we welcome pianist Joseph Houston to Arraymusic. Joseph came in from Berlin to perform a program of experimental music for piano and electronics with music by Linda Catlin Smith, Chiyoko Slavnics, Cassandra Miller, Max Murray, and more!

It was an amazing month of music!
