Psalm 91: 9-10 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge, “and you make the most high your dwelling, “no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

This verse encourages us to consciously place ourselves under God’s care. When we claim, “the Lord is my refuge“ is not only for the time that we are in the midst of trouble and distress but rather a declaration of God’s good purpose and perfect plans in our lives.

Because when we declare and make God our dwelling place is not all about what God can do but rather having all the benefits of being a child of God.

Being a child of God, encourages us to put ourselves under God’s care and protection as He promised, “No harm will overtake you and no disaster will come near your tent.

As a child of God and the way to make him our dwelling place is to trust Him and put ourselves under His power and providence through faith. When we trust in God, uncertainty becomes security, fear gives way to inner peace, agony and anxiety fade away, and we are able to enjoy God’s loving care.

PRAYER
Lord God Almighty, I thank you for you are my refuge and my dwelling place. I put my trust in you O Lord that even in the midst of uncertainties your divine protection is ever present at all times. Thank you Lord for the joy that your righteous right hand will provide me with, for it will not shake me. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Exodus‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭(NIV‬‬)
And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

One thing that really stood out to me while reading the beginning of this book (Exodus) is how God honored the faith of the Hebrew midwives and blessed them.

These midwives were ordered by Pharaoh to kill every Hebrew baby boy. Disobeying the most powerful ruler in Egypt could have cost them their lives yet they chose to obey God instead. Their fear of God gave them the courage to do what is right even when they could be in great trouble.

It made me examine my own heart. Do I fear God more than I fear people's opinions? Do I trust Him enough to obey Him, even when it's difficult or doesn't make sense?

This passage reminded me that fearing God isn't about being afraid of Him. It's about loving Him, honoring Him, and trusting Him so deeply that obedience becomes our response.

There will be moments when doing the right thing isn't easy, but the story of the Hebrew midwives reminds us that God sees every act of faithfulness and it also tells us that there’s nothing to fear when God is with us, going with us and fighting for us.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, Thank You for being a God who honors those who honor You. May our lives always reflect that You are greater than any fear we face. You deserve to all the highest honor, praises and glory in Jesus' name, Amen.
