My dad was right ❤️
From my author’s note in ‘Brown Girl in the Snow’:-
“I confessed to my dad that I didn’t know if I could get used to the snow and that I would miss gardening in our yard. He gently kissed my forehead and said, “For everything, there is a season, and just like plants, you will adapt and grow . . . even when it snows.”

My dad is the coolest 76-year-old man I know. Growing up with a dad who played Jazz, Blues, and Rock ’n’ Roll as my bedtime lullabies was wildly entertaining. ☺️
My friends wanted to hang out with him everytime he was in Canada or NYC.
He’s the reason I embrace life with a free spirit, a love for music, and a sense of adventure. Some of my best traits came from watching him live life on his own terms.
Happy to celebrate the man who made growing up so much fun. ❤️
