It was a really informative meeting with Food and Beverage Canada. I appreciate them taking the time to come meet with me!

Canada is a highly educated country, so the big question is: how do we continue to ensure full employment in lower-skilled companies and jobs across our country? I'm glad we took the time to talk through these issues together.

I spoke with National Observer about where things currently stand. While Ontario is moving forward with legislation, it’s important to recognize that the federal government and PortsToronto remain key decision-makers in any changes to airport operations. Nothing can move forward unilaterally.

I will continue listening closely to concerns being raised around safety, noise, emissions, the Toronto Islands, parks, and Toronto’s broader waterfront. Meaningful consultation with communities, Indigenous peoples, and the City of Toronto will be essential throughout this process.
