One of the biggest challenges in rebranding is knowing what to change - and what to keep.

When I started working with Vibha, it was clear that their human and sun elements weren’t just a logo, they were the heart of the organization’s history. In rebranding, clients often feel a deep connection to their original visual identity. My job as a designer isn’t always to start from scratch, but to bridge the gap between where they’ve been and where they are going.

For Vibha, I evolved these legacy elements into a more professional, integrated symbol. We kept the spirit, but realigned the ex*****on by building a comprehensive visual language. This involved refreshing the iconography, photography style, graphic elements, colour palette, and fonts to create a unified system that works on a global scale.

From a serene Thai lake to a local Pickering dining room. Here’s a look inside the creative journey for the mural, in collaboration with .

The challenge was to create an atmosphere that felt authentic yet completely new. We started with a concept inspired by Thailand’s breathtaking Sea of Red Lotuses. But how do you make a classic symbol like a lotus feel fresh and modern? We gave it a literal edge.

Instead of soft, painterly lines, we took the initial idea of stylized art and evolved it into a cubist-inspired style. Breaking the flowers and pads into geometric shapes gave the piece a vibrant, contemporary energy.

This mural became the heart of the space, with its palette of mystical purples, serene greens, and warm tans and pinks setting the colour story for the entire interior. It’s a perfect example of how one central piece of art can create a complete, immersive world.
