Significant Other is an award-winning creative practice that has spent more than a decade helping beloved brands do big things both online, and IRL.
Since rebranding as Significant Other we’ve been sending an annual greeting to clients and collaborators just in time for Valentine’s Day. This year we wanted to catch the light during a dark and dreary winter.
The vellum wrapped trifold features duo tone moiré patterns risograph printed by . Nestled within the card is a disc of light dispersion film that catches and separates light from a window into the colours of the rainbow.
The result is brief moments of colourful delight when the sun hits just right. A reminder of the vivid colour all around us and brighter days ahead.

Today our team will be offline in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This is a day for reflection and action: to honour survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and acknowledge the lasting impacts of residential schools.

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Significant Other.
Valentine’s is a time for celebrating the relationships that matter. For us, that means all of the incredible teams we have the opportunity to collaborate with. In honour of those partnerships, our team created a selection of postcards that recipients can use to send their own thoughts of appreciation to the people that matter to them.

Another win to share: our work on the National Oral Health Strategy, which aims to advance the health of Canadians in the face of a rapidly changing world, has won a Bronze in the Health Research Projects or Publications category.
Over the years we’ve supported health research strategies at the provincial, federal, and international levels, and though the issues may be complex, the outcomes are very real: improved funding and enhanced resources for government and non-government led health initiatives that improve the lives of millions.
