Web on Demand is seeking a front-end developer to learn and develop websites and web applications on our in-house software. We are looking for a highly driven, adaptable individual who is excited about working in a fast-paced environment.

Web on Demand is a tech company that focuses on SaaS solutions. This is a contract/freelance position with the potential to extend into full-time work with much higher compensation. You must be able to come into our office in Vaughan to be trained on the software. The desks in our office are spaced more than 6ft apart.

Responsibilities

-Work with a content management system
-Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current Internet trends including UI, technologies, vendors, services, and tools
-Day to day operational tasks to support the business
-Meets project deadlines on a consistent basis
-Meticulous attention to visual detail
-Ability to effectively and calmly multi-task deliverables
-Able to communicate and explain complex ideas to our team
-Able to learn new languages and technologies quickly
-Create/update software/website documentation

Requirements

-Open-minded and willing to learn a new technology
-Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English
-Self-starter -- able to work well without constant direction in a fast-paced environment
-Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
-Must be able to work from our location in Vaughan
-Experience with responsive site coding methodologies
-Detail oriented with strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
-Must display patience and flexibility in dealing with changing project requirements and scope

Bonus:

-Experience with e-commerce is a plus
-Creative or graphic design skills also a bonus
