Our team has been in Vilnius talking to European Deeptech Founders about scaling into North America through Ontario.

Yesterday we co-hosted a roundtable with the Embassy of Canada of Canada and Startup Lithuania () where Hon. Victor Fedeli (), Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, and TBDC Chairman Vikram Khurana led the conversation, alongside post-revenue founders building in healthtech, defence, AI, quantum, and more. They discussed about the North American deep tech market, why Ontario is the smartest first step in, and the cost and timeline of getting here.

Earlier today, Vikram joined the EBAN - European Business Angel Network Congress 2026 () panel on Transatlantic Partnerships: Connecting Canadian and European Ecosystems, in front of angels, BANs and VCs from 45+ countries. TBDC also co-hosted a second roundtable with the Embassy of Canada and Hon. Victor Fedeli, for European founders ready to make their North American entry impactful.

Welcome to the first Launch Week of 2026! 🎉

Today, we kicked off with 17 companies from 9 countries joining us to be immersed in Ontario’s startup ecosystem.

Day 1 was all about connection—our founders met with Land & Expand Alumni for peer learning and began their Canadian journeys.

This week, our founders will be working on everything from grants, IP, and legal frameworks, to hiring strategies, GTM planning, and investor meetings.
