“Rock formations and forests, in particular, offer quiet structures that are enduring and resilient—they embody an intelligence beyond our human experience. Painting landscape slows my looking and feeling. It encourages a deep exploration of physical and emotional presence: the landscape’s, and my own.”

Gathering Edges brings together paintings and rug hooked pieces made in response to sustained time spent in the landscape. Forests and rock formations are places where forms, textures and colours lean, overlap and soften rather than resolve.

I am most interested in holding the experience of landscape, of being immersed in it.

Gathering Edges is on view now until 31 January with a closing reception on Thursday 29 January, 5-8pm. Please join us, all are welcome.
