Snapshots of Change: The Influence of the CNE on Toronto
Bretton Weir and Marlee Yule have built an exhibition acting as a retrospective look at the massive photo collection of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). Join us in discovering the past, present, and future influence of Toronto’s hidden neighbourhood!

Made-Up Toronto is a collaborative exhibit curated by Jessica Svenningson, Sarah Rolko and photographer Leeor Wild, that will launch a study of makeup as an artistic, individualistic and cultural expression on June 14th. Through this exhibit, a common outward expression of the self will be examined and studied through the lens of cultural identity and individualism. With the generous help of creator studio Free Space, Made-Up Toronto will feature select works by professional photographer Leeor Wild for public viewing in a rare event.
TTC busker Andrew Lopatin will play his unique guitar tunes while you wander through the exhibition.

A Telepathic Book

Partners: The Broadbent Sisters
Aurora Cacioppo and Meagan Fillmore have been working with the Broadbent Sisters to translate the components of their sculptural photobook into an exhibition for CONTACT Photography Festival. For fourteen days, the artists used meditation to telepathically send and receive images to one another. Afterward, they revealed their photos to one another and found unbelievable connections! Using each day’s images, the artists produced A Telepathic Book, which displays these parallels while promoting meditative practice through its design.
Location: Black Cat Art Space, 2186 Dundas St W, Toronto
Opening Reception: May 3, 2018, 6 pm (remarks at 7 pm) at Stephen Bulger Gallery, 1356 Dundas St W, Toronto
Exhibit Dates: May 5 - 15, 2018
