one of the most learned people I know.
I only discovered relatively recently that Rory was a very accomplished piper. I knew right away I had to photograph that side of his personality. Rory graciously spent an afternoon in studio with us, and I photographed him as he played for us and gave us a history lesson on the various pipes he owns and plays. If you know Rory, you know that you can’t spend any time around him and not learn something. Sometimes its just a new horrible joke, but still you learn “something”
Thanks to for helping me out on this shoot

U of T medical sciences Building
Built in 1969, the Medical Sciences Building (MSB) on King's College Circle is a notable example of Brutalist architecture with its linear concrete façade, sprawling floorplates and a warren of laboratory and teaching spaces to accommodate the scientific and academic needs of the time.

Returning to my in Onatrio theme, here are some photos of Brantford City Hall. Designed by architect Michael Kopsa, it was built in 1967. With its free-form design and textured concrete that reveals the rough-sawn Douglas fir in which the concrete was moulded, it is an outstanding example of the Brutalist style of architecture.
