This past month, 246 Canadian Progress celebrated Black History Month by learning about black pilots and leaders in the military field, all culminating in a trip to Queen’s Park to take part in an event hosted by the Lieutenant Governor! Legacy and Legends: Honouring Black Military Leaders was hosted by the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Our CO, Capt Haddi was accompanied to the event by Cadet Correspondent Sgt Jadhav, and LAC Darling.

Thank you to the Lieutenant Governor for our invitation to this amazing event!

A long overdue congratulations on all the promotions and fitness badges earned on the December 2nd CO’s Parade! πŸ‘

FSgts Hooper, Omidvar-Khullar, and Minialoff were promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer Second Class (WO2)πŸ‘‘ by our Reviewing Officer and Area Environmental Advisor (AEA), Major Evelyn, CD. Promotions to WO2 require cadets to apply and hold senior appointments, and successfully pass a Selection and Merit Review Board all in order to be considered for the promotion. WO2 is the second highest possible rank for an air cadet to hold and marks an important achievement in a cadet’s career! BZ!

Also awarded was a promotion to from LAC to Cpl for Cpl Hsu, and numerous fitness badges for the successful completion of the new Cadet Fitness Incentive Program (CFIP) πŸ₯‡πŸ₯ˆπŸ₯‰πŸƒ
