BLOG:
Happy Canada Day!
Today we celebrate our incredible country we are fortunate to call home. Its stunning beauty, rich diversity, and the countless people who make Canada stronger through acts of kindness, generosity, and community. It's a day to gather with family and friends, enjoy the traditions of summer, and reflect on what it means to be Canadian.
This Canada Day also comes at a challenging time. The Jewish community is carrying the weight of rising antisemitism and wondering what it means to feel safe and fully accepted in the place we proudly call home. Those feelings are real, and they deserve to be acknowledged.
And yet, we celebrate with hope.
We celebrate the neighbours who stand beside us, the friendships that cross every background, and the belief that Canada's greatest strength has always been its people. We remain committed to building bridges, standing up against hate in all its forms, and creating communities where everyone can live openly, proudly, and without fear.
May this Canada Day renew our gratitude for this remarkable country and inspire us all to continue working toward a Canada that reflects its highest ideals, one of inclusion, respect, justice, and peace for all.
From our Beth Torah family to yours, we wish you a joyful, safe, and Happy Canada Day!

If you weren't able to join us for Pride Shabbat this past Saturday, we encourage you to take a few moments to watch Hazzan Steve's inspiring sermon.
Through personal reflection and powerful storytelling, he speaks about the importance of Pride, the courage it takes to share our stories, and the responsibility we have as a congregation to create a community where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and loved.
It is a message of belonging, hope, and the sacred work of embracing one another's humanity.
