When there was a brazen and terrifying shooting at Salsa on St. Clair a week ago, Toronto Police, Toronto Fire and EMS Paramedics were there for us. Faith leaders and community members stepped up to care for their neighbours. I’ve seen remarkable acts of heroism and kindness that I’ll never forget.

Yesterday, officers from 13 Division and I visited business owners and had conversations with residents on St. Clair West. We are united, and working together, as every one of us has been deeply impacted by what happened.

Our focus must always be on improving community safety - and on being there for our neighbours and supporting our local small businesses on St. Clair West.

Together, we will.
