March is Women’s History Month.

Progress is worth celebrating, but it is also worth being honest about where we still fall short.

In Canada, women still earn roughly 88 cents for every dollar earned by men.

At Hotspex Media, we are lucky to work with an incredible group of women whose ideas, leadership, and perspective shape our work every day.

Ensuring they are recognized and fairly compensated is not something we see as an ’achievement. It is the baseline.

Today, that looks like:
➡️ A team that is over 50% women
➡️ Women making up 50% of our Senior Leadership Team and over half of our people leaders
➡️ An equal distribution of well-deserved promotions across male and female team members over the past year
➡️ Competitive, equitable salaries across all roles and functions

Gender equity should not be a once-a-year conversation.

Real progress shows up in the everyday decisions companies make, consistently and over time.

And that’s a wrap on Spirit Month!

It’s been so fun watching our team go all out this month! From wacky socks to chic après ski looks, creative moments and competitive games, the energy and enthusiasm everyone brought was incredible to see.

Spirit Month was all about taking a break from the day-to-day, trying something different, and giving ourselves an excuse to laugh together. We’re SO grateful for a team that shows up with creativity, good vibes, and a willingness to lean in.
