Part 3: Cake Contest with Daddy
Ken and Ellis made it to the finals! š
After earning their spot with a realistic stir-fried noodle cake in the semifinals, they had one final challenge. In front of a live audience, they had 90 minutes to create a Motherās Day cake.
Wanting to impress the judges, Ellis chose to make one of my favorite meals from our recent trip to Vietnam⦠waterfall chicken with rice. Since she canāt cook it for me yet, she decided to turn it into a cake. ā¤ļø
Ken and Ellis practiced at home. Ellis made the chicken, vegetables, and all the tiny details, while Ken carved the cake and helped cut all the fondant rice.
And as you can probably tell⦠Ken was very, very nervous. š

ā¤ļøBefore the end of Asian Heritage Month, Iād love to share some of these incredible gifts that arrived in the mail and celebrate the amazing Asian founders behind them. āØ
A huge thank you to .now and for curating this thoughtful box filled with products, treats, and brands founded by talented Asian entrepreneurs across Canada.
As an Asian creator and mom raising the next generation, representation and community mean so much to me. I love discovering the stories behind the products, and this box introduced me to so many inspiring founders who are building businesses, preserving culture, and creating meaningful impact.
I could only fit 20 tags, in the last frame the brow kit is by and the flower necklace is by . ā¤ļøāØ
