Life's been busy and I've never really been super into social media, so my apologies for the relative quiet lately!

This chunky diablo line female has a bright future here... now if only I can catch her colours right. She's a very dark, rusty red, like oxblood. Also unlike many of the babies that pass through here, she's very... shall I say, stout in build.😂She definitely isn't fat, but short in length and stocky. I'll have to see how this grows out, but I love that trait.

8 good eggs, 14 duds. Better than nothing!

The probable sire of this clutch is a first-timer, so I'm not terribly surprised. I was at least hoping for a 50/50 in good:dud eggs, but nature will give you what it wants and nothing more. Here's hoping all 8 make it!

A new setup for an African Fat-tailed gecko. It's a pleasure to look at, and hopefully a pleasure to live in.

I am gradually moving the majority of my collection over to bioactive, if not naturalistic at a minimum enclosures. It's a costly and time-consuming endeavor even for a collection as relatively small as my own, but the rewards of seeing enriched animals displaying natural behaviours are worth it. As a hobby, I believe that we can always do better and learn more. It's important to keep our minds open to what we may be missing, in the interest of these fascinating creatures that we have taken responsibility for. They deserve it.
