Big NEWS to share 🤍
It's been an emotional year filled with highs and lows, and I'm ready to announce some news about the future of the studio. I've had a lot of inner turmoil surrounding this and have kept it mostly under wraps for several months, but I must stress that this is a resoundingly positive decision, and has been felt with a tremendous wave of relief.
Starting this fall season, I will be slowly closing the business for an extended break from working, in order to prioritize rest, my family, and refilling my creative stores. I think we can all agree that it's been a difficult few years.
Jade and I have both realized the demands of motherhood are much more consuming than we ever imagined, and yet we WANT to be consumed by it. Running the business has also demanded so much energy that I have been desperately low on. When I went through several months with a daily chronic stress headache, I knew something had to change. I share this only to normalize what many of us already go through privately, to break the facade of "doing it all" or the idea that we can somehow gracefully balance a fulfilling work and young family life equally.
As we wind down for the next few months, we will continue to share select items on our website. These will be very small batch quantities (including this last gingham Birthday Dress!) as we work our way through our remaining fabric rolls, and some very special one of a kind samples will be included as well.
I have a million and one ideas that I look forward to finally having time to work on! I'd like to steep myself into the world of Interior Decor, my husband and I plan to spend an extended stay in Europe, and overall I can't wait to have the breathing room to learn and play again. Boneset Studio will return, though I'm not quite sure when. I look forward to the journey ahead.

I was so lucky to be able to collaborate with Mia on her wedding dress. Mia is such a beautiful soul, inside and out, and it was incredibly special to be a small part of her milestone with husband Atlon. From sharing many ideas and creating multiple sketches, we designed this silk taffeta gown with organza cutouts and gathered skirt, and sourced a vintage corded trim for the delicate shoulder straps. Wishing their sweet family so much happiness. 🤍

Congrats to our gorgeous bride - Keera and I started working together in early 2021, sharing mood boards over Zoom, designing a Brigitte Bardot inspired suit dress for her very cool Toronto wedding. Even though we only met in person last fall, from the very beginning we totally connected on the vision and came up with each little detail together. It was such a joy to create this piece with her, one of only two brides I’ve worked with this pandemic. ❤️
