One half of one of the most iconic hip-hop duos of the late 1980s, Rob Base helped create records that still move dance floors, cookouts, roller rinks, weddings, and block parties decades later.

“It Takes Two” wasn’t just a hit… it became part of the culture.
A song sampled, remixed, quoted, and celebrated across generations.

Before viral music trends and social media challenges, Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock had people all over the world dancing to a beat that never seemed to age. Their sound helped bridge hip-hop into the mainstream while keeping that raw party energy that made the golden era special.

From old school DJs to today’s artists, the influence is still there.
