We were proud to join the teams at Feed Halton and Acton Foodshare to welcome MPP Joseph Racinsky for a tour of Georgetown Bread Basket.

This visit offered an important opportunity to discuss the challenges people and families across Ontario are facing, while highlighting the dedicated work local food banks, staff, and volunteers are doing every day.

Thank you to MPP Racinsky for taking the time to connect us and engage in meaningful conversations about solutions to address hunger and poverty.

Friends of the Food Bank are stepping up to help their neighbours when it matters most. In a golf tournament they recently organized, they raised over $12,000 in support of our Pork Program, and their generosity will help us keep food bank shelves stocked with nutritious pork for people and families facing hunger. No parent should have to worry about where their child's next meal is coming from. But during the summer when school nutrition programs disappear, many families who are struggling to make ends meet and rely on these supports will need to turn to a food bank to get by.

This impacts kids across Ontario, but we make sure food banks can be there for families in need, keeping shelves stocked with the healthy food they need to thrive all year long.
