At Fluid Events, we’re lucky to work with non-profits year-round, bringing fundraising events to life from start to finish. The kind of nights that feel fun and effortless as a guest… but behind the scenes, they’re doing something big: raising critical dollars, building community, and helping important work move forward.

At the Canadian Climate Institute’s 5th Anniversary Gala last October, the venue gave us the opportunity to create a fully immersive environment through large-scale projection mapping on every wall. The sweeping visuals transformed the room and added depth, movement, and atmosphere, setting the tone for an evening that celebrated innovation and climate leadership.

To complement the digital landscape, we were intentional about every detail at table level.

Our design direction leaned into an earthy, natural palette: dried florals, amber glass vases, sage-coloured runners, and soft neutral linens.
These organic textures grounded the space and balanced the modernity of the projection mapping, creating a warm and inviting dining experience.

We chose long banquet tables rather than rounds, not only for their visual impact, but because they encourage connection and conversation, which was central to the event’s purpose.

The result was a setting that felt cohesive, elegant, and deeply aligned with the Institute’s mission: a celebration of climate progress brought to life through thoughtful design at every level.
