🔥 WHAT A RACE WE HAVE LINED UP! 🔥
WHAT ARE YOUR PICKS?
Friday night’s Race 8 – The Masstown Market Pace brings together seven of the region’s top pacers in a Winners Over showdown that has all the ingredients of a classic.
With more than $765,000 in combined career earnings, this field represents the very best currently competing at Truro Raceway.
Fresh off a victory in this class last week, Like A Glove and driver Noah Webber draw the coveted rail position and will be looking to make it back-to-back victories.
To his outside is the battle-tested American Risk, who recorded 10 wins last season and finished in the top three an incredible 22 times in 27 starts. Ryder Rennison picks up the live drive after steering him to victory last Sunday at Inverness Raceway.
The defending THHOA Horse of the Year, Bettor On Than Off, leaves from post 3 for veteran horseman Ernie Laffin for trainer Danny Romo. The field's richest competitor, Bounty Hunter, starts from post 4 for driver-trainer Darren Crowe.
Bronx Drifter, trained by Trevin Shives, leaves from post 5 with Clare MacDonald in the sulky, while Income Approach starts from post 6 for Truro Raceway’s leading driver of 2025, Keith Legge. The four-year-old has finished second in the Winners Over class in each of the last two weeks and appears ready to take the next step.
Rounding out the field is the Truro newcomer The Sports Desk, making his Truro debut from post 7 for the MacKay Stable, with respected veteran driver Emmons MacKay in the bike for trainer Tammy MacKay.
If last week's edition was any indication, this could be one of the most exciting races of the season.
