I help business owners & equestrian professionals simplify their message, clean up their strategy, and build websites that truly work for them.

This is the part of my morning that makes everything else better (well, except when it’s freezing and I’m wishing I didn’t have to go outside with 2,673 layers on).

Before I open my laptop, respond to messages, or think about a single client project… I’m here. Feeding my horses, filling hay nets, and wishing everyone a good morning with a scratch and a once-over.

The fresh air and attention-to-detail requirement resets something in me that no amount of coffee actually does. (Even when it has my must-have vanilla oat creamer.)

I think part of why I’m good at what I do is because I spend time every day in an environment where unclear signals create real problems. You can’t fake clarity with a horse. They read everything — your posture, your energy, your intention — not just what you say.

I bring that to my work. What is this website actually communicating? Not just in the words, but in how it’s built, what it shows first, what it makes easy.

Your website has one job: make the right person feel like they’re in the right place. Fast.

Here are 5 signs yours might be working against you:

1. The layout buries what you actually do
Your customers need to find how to work with you - quickly & easily - not try to navigate through a dense (but aesthetic!) forest without a map.

2. There’s no clear next step when someone lands on the page
A clear and direct above-the-fold CTA that brings someone into your offer from the jump is important - don’t miss out on this opportunity by filling it with information about yourself or trying to be cutesy (but confusing) with your words (sorry, I had to say it!)

3. Your services, story, and offer all feel disconnected from each other
You don’t have to have a straight line of progress to explain how you go to where you are today (we’re human - do any of us have a straight line of progress? Mine is as squiggly as a snake that is as surprised to see you as you are to see it when you start moving buckets around in the garden shed after the winter… Was that too specific?). BUT! The purpose is to connect the dots so your potential customer isn’t struggling to find the through line with zero context.

4. The design is polished but the structure is confusing
Yes, your colour palette, your fonts, your imagery, etc. are all important… but the flow and structure of your site is more important. Don’t lose sight of how a potential customer would move through your website in lieu of a pretty design.

5. You’re not sure what you’re even trying to say (so the site isn’t sure either)
… And if that’s the case, your customer is definitely unsure. Before jumping into a website build, it’s important to get clear on what you’re offering (but like, what are you *really* offering?), who it’s for, and proceed from there.
(*Not sure? My 90-minute Clarity Calls can help you with that!)

None of these are problems a new font or a colour palette refresh will fix. They’re clarity problems. And they show up in the design, the structure, and the strategy… sometimes all at once.
