Our government has activated Ontario Corps to support communities affected by wildfires in northwestern Ontario. Ontario 211 has increased frontline capacity to help respond to non-urgent wildfire-related inquiries. By calling 2-1-1, Ontarians can connect with trained navigators 24/7 in more than 150 languages to access information, programs and services.

Over the past 96 hours, wildland fire crews, pilots, emergency responders, emergency management professionals and Ontario Corps volunteers have worked tirelessly to help keep communities safe. We also thank our Ontario Corps partners; GlobalMedic, Feed Ontario and the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres (OFIFC), for supporting reception centres and helping distribute food to evacuees.
