This project was a fun one!

When I first saw this car it was covered in years of tree sap from sitting under a few large trees during summer. If sap is left untreated it can bond with your paint and cause irreversible damage. My client trusted me with the challenge to remove the tree sap without damaging the paint underneath. Which was tricky because this Miata didn’t get a clear coat in its production, leaving the paint even more vulnerable.

Between diluted isopropyl alcohol, acetone, clay bars, detailer, goo gone, ceramic sealant, and a lot of patience, mission impossible has been completed.

Also, the first proper interior clean in 9 years.
