A few days back country on the in Sept.
Warm sunny autumn days.
Northern lights at night.
Swimming off the rocks and exploring around. Was so grateful for the smooth waters on our way back home.

Our Story
Burnt Timber was born in 2016 after relocating from Calgary to the lakes and forests of Muskoka, Ontario. I have experimented with various mediums throughout my life until coming full circle and reacquainting myself with wood burning, picking up a skill my grandfather taught me long ago.
With the shift from urban to rural living came a strong passion for nature connection, simplicity and natural beauty. Deepening my relationship with the land and forest. All designs are inspired by Mother Nature with the intention of bringing nature to you, to keep her close to your heart.
Pyrography: the art of drawing with fire, from the Greek PUR (fire) and GRAPHOS (writing). It is done with a superheated pen that makes precise burn marks on the wood, in harmony with the species, grain and age of the tree the wood came from.
