is a Vancouver, British Columbia based band that smashes grunge into psychedelic rock and funk, building a sound that is deliberate, grounded, and driven by performance. A symbol of the modern North American experience, Mr Lover brings together members from four continents, folding a wide range of musical references into a cohesive and controlled sound.

Frontman Aksel Boss leads with a magnetic, powerful voice that sounds like he swallowed an amp whole, delivering lyrics with layered themes, sincerity, and a dry, ironic sense of humour. Guitarists Lucas Zhou and JP Homem create interlocking guitar parts built around distortion, texture, and rhythmic interplay, while Matt Carson’s bass and Paula Faustino’s precise, dynamic drumming give each song structure and forward drive.

Much of Mr Lover’s material originates in extended jam sessions, captured raw and refined into finished recordings that preserve original energy with clear intent and structure. On stage, the band delivers focused, confident performances that emphasize musicianship, chemistry, and control, drawing from a bold 90s MTV influence and performance driven staging.
