On this day that King Charles III ascends to the throne I’m feeling honoured to have had the opportunity to perform for two British monarchs.  Queen Elizabeth II gave us an enthusiastic thumbs up as she departed 👍🏻and a letter from her Canadian secretary followed after our performance for her and Prince Philip at the 1994 Commonwealth Games official state dinner. Charles was still Prince when I performed for him, and both he and Camilla were just arm’s-length away in an informal setting. It feels like witnessing moments of history being able to have been able perform for royalty on two occasions.
