“Egg Head” by Jathinder Sandhu received an Honourable Mention in this year’s Hope in Shadows calendar, using humour to share a powerful message about protecting our environment. Jathinder hopes her playful self-portrait opens conversations about climate change and the future of our planet. Thank you to Pivot Legal Society for founding the Hope in Shadows project in 2003 and entrusting the project to Megaphone in 2016, helping create a platform that amplifies the voices and perspectives of people with lived experience
of poverty and homelessness through photography.

community organizations raising concerns about displacement, policing and affordability, the tournament is shaping Vancouver in more ways than one.
