Why Sibling Support Day?

“My brother is my entire world. My best friend. My inspiration.

Going to the movies is my favourite thing to do with my brother. But it’s not always easy. There’s a lot of sensory stimulation in a theatre and it doesn’t always feel accessible. I wanted to create a day that siblings can enjoy together, and that we as a community can celebrate the important role siblings play in their neurodivergent siblings’ life. I’m so proud that with the help our sponsors and volunteers we are hosting our 6th Sibling Support Day this Sunday. Thank you to everyone who helps make this day possible and a big thank you to all the siblings who join us each year and inspire me!”

Some highlights from our inaugural Inclusion in Motion walk! A 1km walk & family festival by Autism Support Network & Growing Together at the Pacific Autism Family Network.

The event was a fun filled day with smiling faces celebrating meaningful inclusion with a highlight on the important role siblings play in their neurodivergent siblings’ lives.
