Angus One Professional Recruitment is currently supporting a major, well-established client in the film industry based in Burnaby (near Eastlake Drive). They are looking for an urgent, immediate start for a 2.5-month contract. If you are a high-volume payroll professional with strong Dayforce skills, we want to hear from you.

💰 Pay Rate: $39.00 – $50.00 / hour (depending on experience)
⏰ Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard office hours
⏳ Duration: 2.5 months (Urgent, immediate start)

What the Role Involves:
Supporting a bi-weekly pay run for both salary and hourly staff across three provinces (BC, AB, and ON).
Managing timesheets within Ceridian Dayforce.
Focusing on processing accuracy, finding operational efficiencies, and streamlining workflows.
Acting as a mentor to support and upskill a more junior team member.
Note: You will NOT be responsible for T4 summaries.

What You Bring:
3 to 5 years of high-volume, full-cycle payroll experience.
Solid, hands-on Ceridian Dayforce experience (must be highly comfortable navigating the system and its functionality).
Strong knowledge of multi-province payroll legislation and hours of work (BC, AB, and ON).
Valid legal documentation to work in BC.

Looking to lock in a high-day-rate contract for the upcoming production season? We are sourcing experienced, self-sufficient operators for a short, intensive seasonal jade mining operation at Polar Mountain, BC.

💰 Day Rate: $450 – $500/day (DOE)
📍 Location/Location Profile: Polar Mountain, BC (60 km East of Dease Lake) – Remote Mountain Terrain
🗓️ Schedule & Season: 3 to 4 Month Contract (July – September) | High-production, extended daily shifts
🏠 Camp Setup: Full camp accommodations, hot meals, and dry mess provided at zero cost.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Operating excavators and heavy equipment to extract jade ore.

Working on steep slope terrain with precision and care.

Performing daily machine inspections and field-level troubleshooting/minor repairs to minimize downtime.

Collaborating with a close-knit site team to hit daily production targets.

What We Need From You:

Experience: Minimum 7 years of steep slope excavation experience (must be comfortable on high-angle terrain).

Equipment Knowledge: Broad excavator experience across multiple weight classes and brands (including older/legacy models).

Skills: Strong mechanical mindset for basic field maintenance and a high attention to machine care.

Ready for Camp Life: Ability to live and work in a remote outdoor camp setting for the full season.

Requirements: Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening.
