Considering this foundational reading before the faerie themed writing contest starting in June ๐Ÿงšโœจ
I have read a lot of fantasy this year and nothing has absolutely enchanted me like this series. A witty protagonist who is actually in her 30โ€™s, absolutely charming prose, so much folly and frolicking with a little bit of darkness underneath, these books are so unique and have utterly consumed me. A world of liminal spaces, doors within the earth, shapeshifting reality, trickery in language, unbelievable magic, forest core vibes; is brilliant. I will be forevermore recommending this series and will be envious of every person who gets to experience Emilyโ€™s world for the first time. ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿงโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸงŒ๐Ÿงšโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒธ

A haiku tower (4 haikus stacked on top of each other) from the desk (bed) of a very sick yet slowly getting better girl who walked around the block for the first time in several days! ๐ŸŒผ very Persephone rising from the underworld coded ๐Ÿ‡
