No surprise here: when we asked forest minister Ravi Parmar if he'd commit to protecting old-growth, his answer was "not at all."

Two red cards: foul on caribou, foul on old-growth.

We are BUZZING with excitement for pollinator week 🐛🦋🐝 here are our favourite pollinator facts:

🍓One out of every three bites of food we eat exists because of pollinators

🍓Bees pollinate almost 75 per cent of the vegetables, nuts and fruit grown in North America

🍓Insects are not the only pollinators in the wild — creatures like birds and bats play important pollinator roles in various ecosystems

If you enjoy apples, flaxseed, peaches, strawberries, carrots, pepper, avocado and almonds, thank a pollinator!

📍Naa’waya’sum Botanical Gardens (Tla-o-qui-aht territory)

We had a fun week in Tla-o-qui-aht territory working with the staff at Naa’waya’sum Botanical Gardens, run by our friends at Tla-o-qui-aht, to maintain their old-growth forest trail near the Tofino mudflats.

We’ve been working with Tla-o-qui-aht for decades, and are always grateful for the opportunity to help support responsible tourism in the incredible rainforests of Clayoquot Sound.
