Bringing an Iconic BMW Livery to Life with a Custom Wrap

As members of the Restyle It team, we were thrilled when given the chance to breathe life into an iconic BMW livery in partnership with M-Tech, a local automotive shop. We had the honor of creating a custom wrap for their stunning new BMW M4CS. We've wrapped many cars before, but this project was especially meaningful as it brought back memories and nostalgia for all of us. Let’s dive into how we brought this look to life.

Creating Quality Wraps That Last

The first step was finding the perfect vinyl wrap material that not only captured the classic feel of the original design, but also held up against long-term wear and tear. After much research and testing, we decided on 3M 2080 vinyl wrap film. This material is durable yet flexible enough to stretch around tight curves and contours without distorting or tearing. Plus, it comes in many different finishes like matte black, satin black, gloss black, brushed aluminum and more—perfect for making sure that every detail was captured accurately!
In addition to finding the right material for our project, precision was essential in order to make sure that every part of the design lined up correctly. To ensure accuracy while applying the wrap film, we used heat guns and squeegees to work out any air bubbles or wrinkles that might have appeared during application. Although it took longer than expected (especially since there were so many intricate details!), our team worked tirelessly throughout the entire process until everything fit perfectly together—and boy did it ever!

We could not be happier with how this custom wrap turned out! The vibrant colors and iconic graphics instantly caught everyone's eye at M-Tech shop when they saw it in person. It was like stepping back in time—the classic design was just as beautiful as ever! The best part is that because of its high-quality materials and precision application methods used by our team here at Restyle It, this custom wrap will last for years to come without fading or peeling off.
