Orange and white and bronze and speckled. And the doubles have no pollen so no searching to remove those staining anthers. Hugely tall and then some shorter and sometimes scented and other times not. And 10 becomes 30 in just 1 year. Why didn’t someone tell me? ( Truth is someone tried and I couldn’t hear them). 🙃

I was born in the Nation’s capital, herded cows on horseback in Alberta, lived close to the Arctic circle and had a dog named Gzowski while also having a son named Peter! I’ve been to all the provinces and territories and lived in 5 of them. More grateful than ever to be Canadian. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

It’s seems a bit of a luxury to grow new things. I’m often not sure if I’ll like them and then if I don’t, I could feel I’ve wasted space and time. I have to wait a whole year to try something again. Luxury. That word keeps emerging. I love having new things- flowers, recipes, clothes, shoes, people….
